When to Collect Your SASSA Grant Next Week- Full Schedule and Amounts

South Africans who rely on social grants can now check the official payment dates and amounts for next week. Knowing exactly when to collect your SASSA grant helps avoid long queues, confusion, and delays especially for older persons and those in rural areas.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released its updated grant payment schedule for the upcoming week, including amounts for each grant type. Whether you’re receiving an Older Persons Grant, Child Support Grant, or Disability Grant, staying informed ensures a smooth and timely payout.

SASSA Grant Payment Schedule for Next Week

The following is the confirmed SASSA grant collection schedule for next week:

  • Tuesday, 3 June 2025 Older Persons Grant
  • Wednesday, 4 June 2025Disability Grant
  • Thursday, 5 June 2025Child Support Grant, Foster Child Grant, and Care Dependency Grant

Payments are made starting on the above dates and remain available afterwards. Beneficiaries do not need to rush on the exact day if it’s inconvenient. Funds will remain in their accounts for later withdrawal.

SASSA Grant Amounts for June 2025

This year’s first increase took effect in April. Here’s what beneficiaries can expect to receive:

  • Old Age (60-74 years) and Disability grants by R130 to R2,315;
  • Old Age (75+ years) Grant by R135 to R2,335;
  • War Veterans Grant by R130 to R2,315;
  • Care Dependency Grant by R130 to R2,315 
  • Child Support Grant by R30 to R560; and
  • Foster Care Grant by R70 to R1,250.

Please note: The SRD R350 grant follows a different payout system and is not paid on fixed dates. Beneficiaries will receive an SMS with a date once their application is approved and funds are available.

How to Collect Your SASSA Grant

You can collect your SASSA grant in the following ways:

  • ATM withdrawal using your SASSA card
  • Retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Boxer, Checkers, Shoprite, and Spar
  • Post Office (SAPO) – selected branches only
  • Direct bank deposit (for beneficiaries who opted in)

To avoid overcrowding, SASSA recommends collecting grants a few days after the initial payout date if possible.
