Registration Process
Step 1: Accept Your Offer
- If you completed the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or an equivalent qualification in 2024, you’ll receive an email/SMS in January/February 2025 confirming your offer status.
- Accept the offer via the student portal (student.uwc.ac.za) or by calling UWC’s Contact Centre at 021 959 3900/01 within three (3) days to secure your place.
Step 2: Financial Clearance
- South African students with a zero-balance account need to make an upfront payment of R4290 before financial clearance can be processed. This amount includes the registration fee of R1735.
- First-Year Students:
- Students not residing in university accommodation: R4290 to be paid before registration.
- Students placed in university residences: R4840 to be paid before registration.
- Self-Funded Students must also pay the required upfront payment.
- For those receiving bursaries or funding from NSFAS, clearance will be processed after the necessary documentation is vetted by UWC’s Financial Aid Office.
Step 3: Online Registration
- Dates for Online Registration: 08 January – 31 January 2025.

- Use your student number and ID/passport number to access the system.
- Complete the registration steps, including uploading a certified copy of your SA ID for 2024 matriculants.
