Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, students must meet the following entry requirements:
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification with:
- Physical Science
- Mathematics OR Technical Mathematics
- OR an APS score of 24
Students who do not meet these requirements may be required to complete bridging courses before entering the program.

- The N4 qualification is the first trimester of a National Diploma in Engineering.
- Students who complete N4, N5, and N6, along with 18 months of relevant work experience, can apply for a National Diploma.

Step-by-Step Application Process
Step 1: Complete the Learner Profiler
Before applying, all students must complete the Learner Profiler, which helps CJC assess your skills and career readiness.
Step 2: Submit Your Application Online
All applications must be submitted online through the CJC iEnabler Portal.
Follow these steps to apply:
- Create an account on the application portal.
- Fill in your personal details and select your course.
- Upload the required documents (see Step 3 below).
- Submit your application before the closing date.
Make sure you have a stable internet connection when applying to avoid disruptions.
Step 3: Prepare & Upload Supporting Documents
Applicants must upload clear and certified copies of the following documents:
South African students:
- Certified copy of your ID Document
- Certified copy of your Grade 12 results or equivalent qualification
- Proof of residence (utility bill, affidavit, or official document)
International students:
- Certified copy of your passport
- SAQA evaluation of foreign qualifications
- Valid study permit
Ensure all documents are scanned and legible before uploading them to the portal.
Step 4: Await Communication from CJC
After submitting your application:
- Check your email and SMS notifications regularly for updates.
- If you do not receive a response within a few weeks, contact the admissions office to check your application status.
Step 5: Registration & Payment (If Accepted)
If your application is successful, you will receive a notification to proceed with registration.
- Registration Dates: Will be communicated via email and SMS.
- Payment Information: CJC does not charge application fees, but students must pay for registration, textbooks, and course materials where applicable.
NSFAS Funding
Students who qualify for NSFAS must apply separately for financial aid. NSFAS covers:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation (for eligible students)
- Transport and meal allowances
