Salary and Duration
Participants in the Deployment Programme will receive a monthly stipend of R7450.63. This financial support aims to ease the transition into the workforce and provide the means for graduates to support themselves during the eight-month tenure of the programme.
Requirements
To qualify for the Deployment Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a three-year tertiary qualification majoring in Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
- Registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor (Independent Practice) or in Psychometrics (Independent Practice) is advantageous but not mandatory.
Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the Deployment Programme, the duties of the counsellors will include:
- Providing administrative support to Employment Counsellors.
- Conducting research on labour market needs and best practices in employment counselling.
- Implementing recruitment and selection services.
- Networking with stakeholders to ensure the quality of services provided.
- Registering work seekers.
