    A Glance Through Gauteng Weather

Gauteng has a reputation for having one of the best climates in the world. The provinceโ€™s summers are generally warm and free of wind and its winter days are cool and clear. Johannesburg and Pretoria differ in temperature by about 2% (Pretoria is the warmer of the two).

People from all over the world enjoy Gauteng weather because it is pleasantly mild. ย The seasons are flexible, and the change in seasons is only noticeable gradually. Nights can be chilly enough to need a jacket, especially in winter. And the rainy season is in summer rather than winter. Rainstorms are often harsh accompanied by plenty of thunder and lightning and occasional hail, but they do not last long and are followed by warm sunshine.

How Residents Welcomed the Gauteng Weather this Spring Season

After a few cold fronts this winter, Gauteng residents celebrated the warmer weather through their annual Spring Day celebrations on the 1st of September. Twitter was ablaze with videos of men, women, and children trying to dodge the cold buckets of water being aimed at them while they were making their commutes. But unfortunately, no one was exempt, and many were chased down and unforgivingly soaked to their shoes. Much fun was had despite several people being drenched unsuspectingly with refreshingly icy water.
